Operation RedBlock
Operation RedBlock is a labor-developed / company-adopted drug prevention
and intervention program. The program emphasizes awareness, education, and
prevention via union member peer committees. The program aims to change
attitudes, to reduce the tolerance of nonusers to job-related drug and alcohol
use, and to encourage users to seek assistance.

RICA: Railway Industrial Clearance Association
RICA was founded in 1969 and is dedicated to serving the heavy and dimensional transportation industry. We are over 365 members strong and growing. Representation includes: Major Class I railroads, shippers, regional and short line railroads, riggers, port authorities, expediters, heavy haul motor carriers, barge and steamship lines, consultants and others involved in moving the "BIG STUFF".

RSI: Railway Supply Institute
The Railway Progress Institute (RPI) and the Railway Supply Association (RSA) are pleased to announce their consolidation and the formation of the Railway Supply Institute, Inc. (RSI). The respective Boards of Directors of the two organizations felt that by consolidating the two groups, the railway supply industry could continue to support the Committees of the Coordinated Mechanical Associations (CCMA) and speak with a stronger and more unified voice in Washington, D.C. on issues that affect each supplier of transportation products.

RTA: Railway Tie Association
The Railway Tie Association was organized in 1919 as The National Association of Railroad Tie Producers, which grew out of predecessor groups dating back to the late 1800's. The name was changed to The Railway Tie Association in 1932. The purpose of the Association is to promote the economical and environmentally sound use of wood crossties. The Association is involved in research into crosstie design, and ongoing activities dealing with sound forest management, conservation of timber resources, timber processing, wood preservation and safety of industry workers.
