The C&G began operation on October 29, 1975, as a railroad common carrier between Columbus and Greenville, Mississippi. The property which C&G owns and operates includes approximately 207 miles of mainline track and 104 miles of sidetrack. The principal service rendered by the C&G is tansportation by rail of bulk freight between Columbus and Greenville, Mississippi.
