San Antonio Central Railway (SAC)

The San Antonio Central Railroad (SAC) began operations September 1, 2012. The SAC operates within Port San Antonio's East Kelly Railport. Railport customers include warehousing, distribution, transloading, manufacturing and trucking operations. The SAC is adding infrastructure to meet the rapidly growing transportation needs of the energy sector. The Railport is the only site inside San Antonio with available rail-served facilities and land sites with switching service off the BNSF Railway and Union Pacific lines. The SAC works the rails at night, while commuters use the train during the day.
