Gunderson Inc. Railcars

Gunderson Inc., Portland, Oregon, a subsidiary of The Greenbrier Companies, has introduced many new freight car types to the market. These include high-cube boxcars, center-partition lumber cars, a wide variety of intermodal double-stack container cars, and Auto-Max®, a flexible, two-unit articulated railcar designed to carry automobiles on either two or three levels. Gunderson's newest design is the Maxi-Stack IV, a three-unit double-stack car with 53-foot wells. Greenbrier produces freight cars at Gunderson, TrentonWorks in Nova Scotia and Gunderson-Concarril in Mexico.
