I'm Eric Williams, a photographer who also happens to be a designer and creative director. I'm fascinated by railroads, whether they are active, historical or in our cultural imagination. This interest developed in my childhood, has been with me for as long as I can remember and it continues to be my favorite subject matter.

While most photographers of railroads take a documentative approach, I‘m interested in pursuing a subjective and emotional response and push the genre of railroad photography into the realm of fine art photography.

This blog explores my thoughts, observations and ideas on my journey to becoming a better photographer. Writing helps me clarify my thoughts and hopefully these will resonate with other photographers.
