Colorado Springs, CO - October 26, 1871, the first passenger train stopped at the soon-to-be Denver and Rio Grande Railroad Depot in the infant city of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Many trains followed, bringing hearty souls of adventurous spirit... The glorious parade ended in 1971, when the last passenger train faded from view... But that same Depot still stands, gracious as a grand lady slightly past her prime, a proud testimonial to her splendid history...
