Tehachapi, CA - Located South of Bakersfield, California, Tehachapi is the busiest single tracked mainline in North America. Here the tracks are shared with trains from the Union Pacific Railroad and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
The camera only activates when a train is within range. After a picture is snapped the images are uploaded to the main server within two minutes. The images will remain until another train passes and the images are updated. The system resets near midnight.
