California 30 inch logging railroads

30" gauge logging RR's in California by Lennart Elg. For those who want to model narrow gauge in On30" or HOn30", correct gauge prototypes are hard to come by. Thirty-inch gauge was not that unusual south of the border, but the Yosemite Short Line was unique in the U.S., having been conceived as a 30" gauge passenger-carrying common carrier railroad. While the project was short-lived, it spawned several interesting 30" gauge logging lines. This website is dedicated to these little-known narrow gauge operations.
