Blue Mountain Railroad (BLMR)
The Blue Mountain Railroad & Palouse River & Coulee City Railroad are both administered from our Rosalia, Washington Depot, about 40 miles south of Spokane in East Washington. More than a dozen high horsepower locomotives haul about 9,400 car loads of wheat, lentils and barley, in large unit trains, over the 396 mainline miles of beautiful rolling hills known as Washington’s "Palouse" region. Carlton Trail Railway (CTRW)
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - The Carlton Trail Railway operates over 325 miles of former Canadian National trackage in two segments in Northwestern Saskatchewan, and one segment in northeastern Saskatchewan. The CTR is strategically located to serve both the forest products and the agriculture industries. Major customers include Weyerhaeuser, Millar Western, Carrier Lumber and Norsask Forest Products, whose shipments include pulp, paper and lumber. Meadow Lake OSB Ltd. , is a new customer that will be starting production in the fall of 2003. Customers in the Agriculture industries include Pioneer Grain, Arborfield Dehy and Belle Pulses, as well as individual producers, who ship grain and various grain products.

Central Manitoba Railway Inc. (CEMR)
Central Manitoba Railway Inc. (CEMR) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cando Contracting Ltd. It was created for the operation of the former CN Pine Falls and Carman subdivisions as a shortline railroad. The Pine Falls subdivision consists of approximately 67 miles of track running from Winnipeg, MB to Pine Falls, MB. The Carman sub runs from Winnipeg, MB to Graysville, MB and consists of approximately 50.5 miles of track. This shortline railroad company was established in January of 1999, and began operations of the shortline railroad in April of 1999. CEMR, with a current fleet of 4 locomotives, is responsible for the movement of freight to and from the shippers on these two lines.
CEMR is also responsible for the maintenance and rehabilitation of these lines. In the spring of 2003 CEMR opened a rail yard in Transcona consisting of storage tracks, a locomotive and car repair shop and office space. CEMR also interchanges with CP Rail which puts us in the unique situation of being a shortline railroad with access to both the CP and CN rail networks. CEMR employs approximately 30 operation and maintenance employees. All administration and management functions are handled out of Brandon, MB.

two rail lines. The line from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Lyerly, Georgia is leased from the State of Georgia. The other line
from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Hedges, Georgia (the former TAG RY) is leased from the Norfolk Southern Corporation.

Chicago Rail Link (CRL)
Chicago, Illinois - CRL provides switching and terminal service over 72 miles of track in the southern part of Chicago. Its major customers are Leavitt Tube, Isaacs Reserve, Maryland Pig Iron, Horsehead Resources, Hines Lumber, Cargill and Nidera. In addition, CRL is the contract switching operator for Union Pacific's Canal Street and IMX intermodal yards, and also serves the Illinois International Port. Access to these central transportation hubs and its eighteen connections with most major U.S. railroads make CRL an important link for companies marketing in the Midwest or sourcing materials there.

The Chicago SouthShore & South Bend Railroad is a strategically located 87 mile Short Line carrier connecting Northwest Indiana's industrial complex with 19 transcontinental, regional, and local railroads, including those within the Chicago Switching District.
Headquarters are located in Michigan City, IN. The company is a privately held freight service railroad. Passenger service over the line is provided by the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) and is not affiliated with the Chicago SouthShore.

Michigan City, IN - Chicago SouthShore & South Bend Railroad was formed to acquire certain railroad assets from a trustee-in-bankruptcy in December 1989. The line provides high-density freight and passenger services. The transaction conveyed the responsibility for passenger operations to a regional commuter authority. SouthShore serves major steel and utility facilities and the Illinois International Port in Chicago.
