Port of Tillamook Bay Railroad
The Port of Tillamook Bay brings goods to market via its own shortline railroad, which stretches 88.3 miles from Tillamook into the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. From there, via a direct connection with the Portland and Western Railroad, cars can be delivered to the Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroads for shipment across the state or across the country.

San Joaquin Valley Railroad (SJVR), headquartered in Exeter, California, is a collection of Class I branch lines formerly owned by Southern Pacific Transportation Company (SPT), recently acquired by Union Pacific, and by Santa Fe Railway, recently acquired by Burlington Northern. The company operates between Fresno and Bakersfield, California. SJVR began service on January 2, 1992 with 50 miles of track, 25 customers and 20 employees. Today SJVR operates over 312 miles of track, with 75 employees and 240 customers.
