Israeli rail
Israel Railways are undergoing a process of revival and expansion. The Railways can provide an appropriate solution to the transportation distress in the country, to road congestion and accidents, and to the need for preserving the environment.
Today Israel Railways provide efficient transportation for 1,800,000 passengers per month, and have been transformed into a vitally important factor in the general public transport network of Israel, comparable to the railways of other modern countries around the world.

Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation
The Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation is a public corporation charged with the task of operating and developing domestic,
cross-boundary and inter-city railway services in a prudent commercial manner.
The Corporation currently operates two domestic passenger rail services. East Rail operates suburban mass transit services
between Hung Hom and the boundary at Lo Wu. Light Rail provides passenger services for the fast-developing North West New
Territories. Both networks are supported by feeder buses. East Rail also operates inter-city passenger services to Guangzhou
on its own train and provides access for other inter-city trains running to and from Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing. East Rail
carries freight, mainly to and from the interior of the Mainland. The Corporation also develops property projects with joint-venture
partners along its railway networks.

Líneas Férreas Uruguayas
LFU is an Uruguayan-Swiss project established in 1995 in order to reintroduce rail passenger service in as many lines in Uruguay as possible in order to contribute to the development of the country, the domestic tourism and to provide public transportation to rural communities. It is a private project without any govermental subsides. All the studies for the project are doing voluntarly by the members of the work group.
