Welcome to The Short Line’s web site. The Short Line is owned by Pioneer Railroad Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pioneer Railcorp. The Short Line is now in its 28th year! The Short Line reports on the news and happenings in the railroads industry. We specialize in reporting on shortline railroads, industrial railroads and tourist railroads. Our information comes from our readers and can be emailed, faxed or sent to us via snail mail.
Our 20 page publication is produced six times a year and features such information as Wins, Losses and Prospects. Our feature articles include a color cover photo, inside photos and sometimes system maps and rosters of equipment. We cover a variety of information on various railroads and railroad related issues. Excellent black and white photos are displayed throughout the publication.
