ColoRail
The Colorado Rail Passenger Association (ColoRail) is a statewide, voluntary organization which works to develop passenger rail services in and through the state of Colorado. ColoRail also supports efforts to provide multi-modal solutions to Colorado's growing transportation problems. We believe that passenger rail in some of the state's busiest corridors can provide a mobility choice for travelers who either cannot or do not wish to drive.

National Corridors Initiative
The National Corridors Initiative exists to further the rapid development of practical, attainable High-Speed Rail transportation.
Our initial efforts have involved the successful [thus far] securing of funds to permit modernization of the Northeast Corridor;
we plan to continue these efforts, and to create similar Initiatives or help to sustain those that already exist, in other Corridors in
the United States and Canada, which would lend themselves to modernization / electrification using the National Corridors
Initiative as the vehicle to do so.

Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority | The Downeaster
The initiative to establish the passenger rail transportation travel alternative has been a work in progress for well over ten years. For many, its implementation began on July 14, 1989 when the Maine State Legislature enacted the "Passenger Rail Service Act" directing the Maine Department of Transportation to take all actions necessary to establish regularly scheduled passenger rail service within and outside the State of Maine. The Act further directed that the expenditure of funds to carry out this mandate would be spent first to restore passenger rail service between Portland, Maine and Boston, Massachusetts.
