Media By McCann, the developer of the Rose City & NorthWestern Railroad, has created a number of railroad- and transit-related .gif images for several of its websites and would like to offer them free to its visitors. These are representations of classic or modern passenger trains, interurban trains, freight trains or locomotives, and were created from photographs in the Media By McCann archives and reference library.

Kiso Logging Rail Road
There used to be a lot of logging lines in Japan. But, as you know, a rapid motorization has driven them into an era of legend. Among those the Kiso Logging Railroad is the most famous one.
The silhouette trains in this animation are from the typical rolling stocks on the Kiso Logging Rail Road.

Northeastern Freight Railroads

Train Gifs
Here can be found the many Train Gif drawings that I have made. Many have been repainted from the originals first drawn by Dan Klitzing, the man who started this hobby. I have grouped them by region, and then by railroad within that. Amtrak gifs have been divided up based on what equipment is used in different parts of the country. European gifs are sorted by country.
