Nickel Plate Road - the NKP, by John Fryar
A Tribute to the New York, Chicago, & St. Louis Railroad Company. You are about to visit one of our nation's finest railroads - the Nickel Plate Road. It's no longer with us because of it's merger with the N & W and Wabash in 1964, but it lives on in words and pictures. So - it's time to board NKP Passenger Train #5, "The City Of Chicago", and travel from Buffalo to Chicago and all points in between. Pull off at Conneaut, Ohio and visit the Conneaut Historical Railroad Museum. Stop at Bellevue, Ohio, "The Hub Of The Nickel Plate", and visit the Mad River & NKP Museum. Take a break at Ft. Wayne, Indiana and admire the NKP 765.

Ontario Northland - Nathan's Ontario Northland Site
Glad you could join us. Here is our site dedicated to the Ontario Northland Railway.

We will have our own pictures of the railway as well as some from other sites. We have lots here for you to view and check out.

The ONR, for those that don’t know runs from Toronto to Cochrane (The Northlander) from Cochrane to Moosonee (The Polar Bear Express). It also runs from east to west of Cochrane and North and South of North Bay.

Ontario Northland’s main office and facility is located in North Bay and another site in Cochrane. You will find the ONR from Toronto to North Bay to Englehart, to Kapuskasing, to Hearst and all points in between.
