Washington - Morton Depot
Morton, WA - Relocation and restoration of the Morton Depot has been a 20 year dream of the Historical Society. Built in 1910, the two story frame building is one of the last of this type of Milwaukee stations in existence today. The advent of the train opened the area to commerce and economic prosperity as well as travel.

The depot exterior restoration project is completed. The depot looks like it did in 1910.

The Depot encourages the business development as the traffic increases. Although Grants have been obtained, matching funds are required. The Morton Depot is owned by the Cowlitz River Valley Historical Society (501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation) and is eligible for the Historic Registry.

The attempt is being made to recreate the ambience of the 1930 Northern Pacific Railroad. The depot has been restored to its early appearance and gives an opportunity for the visitor to view many aspects of early railroad transportation.

Washington - Tenino Depot Museum
Tenino, WA - The sandstone building housing the museum was built in 1914 as a Northern Pacific depot and was active until after WW II. On the main line between Seattle and Portland, eight or nine trains daily stopped here at the height of train travel. In 1965, NP sold it to the town and with the help of a Federal grant, it was moved ten blocks to a city park and converted to a museum.

The building was kept the same as much as possible and now houses the original press used to make the original wood money, along with old logging tools, old quarry tools, railroad memorabilia and many local artifacts, including a 1920s doctor's office.

West Virginia - Shepherdstown Station
Shepherdstown, WV - Since 1910, the Station at Shepherdstown has been a beloved and friendly community space. And even though trains haven't stopped here since 1957, it's still a big part of the community as the location for all kinds of events.

The community center in the former main waiting room of the station opened for limited public use in July 1997 while construction continued. Dr. Paul Davis opened his dental office in the former freight and baggage room in the north end of the station in the spring of 2001. A fully-licensed commercial kitchen was equipped in 2002.
