Chemin de Fer de La Mure
Twenty kilometers south of Grenoble (France), the "La Mure Railways" draws a link between two small cities: St Georges de Commiers and La Mure d'Isère. The line extends on 30 km, crosses a very rocky landscape and raises from the shallow valley of the Drac river to a high range plateau, thanks to 143 bridges and tunnels.

DE Deutsches Museum
The Deutsches Museum is one of the biggest museums of technology and science in the world. It is not a state museum but an independent public institution. Under the terms of its constitution it has the right of self administration and functions under the protection and supervision of the Bavarian state government.
18 original locomotives, among them the legendary Bavarian express steam locomotive S 3/6 or the first diesel locomotive with hydrodynamic power transmission V140 are on display: Milestones in the history of railway traffic - the first magnetic levitation train can be found, too.
Additionally a large number of exhibits e.g. dealing with technical details of locomotives, track engineering or signalling and track safety can be found.

We welcome you to a railway line which for dozens of years spent a Cinderella's Life, nearly forgotten, between far more important railway mainlines between Germany and Switzerland and then for more then twenty years even fell asleep as a Sleeping Beauty. Finally "she" was kissed to a new life, more lively and vivacious than ever before! Now acknowledged as a "Railway line of the century" which covers a distance of about 26 km crossing with many different landscapes and interesting railway vehicles. And do not forget to visit one of our comfortabLe Bar Diners, the Railway Museum, the historical signal box tower and the "Restaurant-Express".
