Minnesota - Milwuakee Road 261 Home Page
Minneapolis, MN - Milwuakee Road 261 Mainline excursions. Steam locomotive 261 was constructed by the American Locomotive Company in July 1944 for the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad, nicknamed "The Milwaukee Road". Retired in 1954 and displayed at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, the locomotive was restored to service in 1993. Number 261 is known as a Northern type locomotive for its 4-8-4 wheel arrangement, which originated on the Northern Pacific Railway.

Belton, MO - Belton, Grandview & Kansas City Railroad Co. operates an all-volunteer, demonstration museum railroad with a 45-minute round trip on the ex-Burlington Northern, ex-Frisco, ex-Kansas City, Osceola & Southern line originally conceived with construction beginning around 1865.

Come, take a step back in time to the first half of the last century and ride a train like your grandparents may have ridden. Board our 1920's era passenger coach, or our open air excursion car and take a ride behind our 1950's diesel locomotive through Old Towne Belton, Missouri and the surrounding area. You could even ride in the caboose with the conductor or in the cab of the locomotive with the engineer.

Branson,MO - We have a beautiful streamliner called the Ozark Zephyr featuring all Budd cars with three original Burlington domes: Silver Garden, Silver Island and Silver Terrace We also have CBQ Denver Zephyr diner Silver Chef which anchors our d/t on Sat nites. We run with our F9PH on one end and GP30M on the other as there is no place to run around up in the mountains. Depart from historic 1906 MoPac depot in downtown Branson. We operate over Missouri and Northern Arkansas tracks. 90% of the time we go south 10 miles into Arkansas thru 2 long tunnels and across 2 high trestles. 10% of time go north thru one tunnel and across James River bridge to Galena, MO.
