South Tynedale Railway
The South Tynedale Railway operates narrow gauge passenger trains along a 2¼ mile line along the scenic South Tyne valley between Alston, in Cumbria and Kirkhaugh, in Northumberland. Train services operate from April to October and on certain dates in December each year. The railway operates along part of the old standard gauge trackbed of the Haltwhistle to Alston branch line, which was closed to passengers on 1st May 1976. It is hoped to extend the line by another 2¼ miles from Kirkhaugh to Slaggyford within the next 10 to 20 years as funds permit.

South Tynedale Railway - Alston, Cumbria
The South Tynedale Railway is a 2ft (61cm) gauge line, running northwards from the Alston terminus along the former
Alston-Haltwhistle branch alignment. Until recently the line was open to the public for 1.5 miles to Gilderdale Halt. Following
approval from HM Railway Inspectorate in early September 1999, the Railway is now open a further mile to Kirkhaugh (2.5
miles from Alston). The opening of the extension is a triumph for the small number of volunteers who have put years of effort
into re-laying the line.

Swindon & Cricklade Railway
The Swindon & Cricklade Railway is Wiltshire's only standard-gauge Heritage Railway. Based on the site of Blunsdon Station between Swindon and Cirencester, the line uses part of the trackbed of the former Midland & South Western Junction Railway.
Today, visitors can enjoy all the facilities they expect from a Heritage Railway centre. But it is worth remembering that everything they see has been re-created by the Society. Rolling stock, track, locomotives and building materials are all delivered by road.

The Cavan and Leitrim Railway
Dromod, Ireland - Welcome to the Cavan and Leitrim Railway website. This website has been produced by the supporters of the
Cavan and Leitrim Railway. The main reason that this website has been produced is to provide people, both
enthusiasts and the slightly interested with an indepth look at how the Cavan and Leitrim Railway is being
brought back to its former glory after nearly forty years of dereliction. The Website also has a photographic
archive made up of photographs that were taken while the original Cavan and Leitrim railway was still in
existance. Mainly black and white, these photographs serve as a permanent record of what the Cavan and
Leitrim Railway was like in the bygone era of the Irish Narrow-Gauge railways.
