Narrow Gauge Railway Society
Since the formation of our Society in 1951, interest in narrow gauge railways has grown in leaps and bounds, and this has been reflected in the expansion of our membership. What was envisaged as being a small correspondence group of specialist enthusiasts has grown to a large international society with a truly international outlook.

Pacific Narrow Gauge Dot Com
PacificNG.com, the developing home of the history of American western narrow gauge railroading. We are working to create the central location for accurate data, history, imagery, and all things relevant to narrow gauge railroading west of the Rocky Mountains, from it's inception to it's end. Our site has been expanding thanks to a growing number of queries and requests from our visitors. Originally intended to primarily provide coverage of the America's Pacific coast, our site continues to expand in a number of ways: Much of the Builders' and color information isn't regional or gauge specific and is relevant to railroads across the US, Canada and Pacific Coast region. The Color information is becoming a significant snapshot and reference portal for Period Color usage throughout the 19th Century. The Baldwin Locomotive Works data has material useable worldwide for any road that used Baldwin Products from the 1870's through to the early 20th Century.

Schmalspurlexikon Schweiz - Rail-Info Switzerland
Switzerland's rail network is one of the world's most densely concentrated rail systems. Due to the extremely mountainous terrain, railway engineers opted for the more economical narrow gauge construction; the distance between the rails is less than the standard 1435 mm. Some of these railways (such as the BLM) are simply links between two villages, while others handle the traffic of an entire canton (RhB.) Some, such as the JB were designed as tourist carriers, while others are "international", crossing into other nations (MC.) Because of this large variety of design and purpose, detailed descriptions of many of them will be found on this website.
