Lake Minneola Scenic Trail - Clermont Trail
Though these were actually constructed as separate trails, one is a direct continuation of the other along the same lake. This is a very pleasant, mostly urban trail, with higher hills than any other rail trail in Florida. Though they’re only on the east end, and don't really require very much effort, they can still produce some fast speeds on the downhills. The lake views on the western side are spectacular during sunsets and very pretty the rest of the time. Though subject to high winds during storms, this is a nice trail for all levels of riders and will become particularly attractive for long rides when connected to the West Orange Trail in the east and General James A. Van Fleet State Trail in the west. This is also one of the few trails with streetlights on most portions.

Traversing Florida's beautiful Nature Coast region, this trail provides an excellent opportunity to experience the Sunshine State "off the beaten path." The trail consists of two primary alignments built along abandoned rail lines that intersect at Wilcox Junction, connecting the communities of Cross City, Trenton, Fanning Springs and Chiefland. New York - Wallkill Valley Rail
Since 1991, hundreds of local residents and visitors have discovered
the joy and beauty of the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, a scenic and
peaceful 12.2-mile stretch between Gardiner and New Paltz in Ulster
County.
A century ago, the Wallkill Valley Railroad signified machines and
speed; today, the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail signifies escape from
machines and speed. While the railroad once symbolized power over
nature, the rail trail now symbolizes identification with nature. And
while the railroad once facilitated travel to distant places, the rail trail
suggests a future in which we can enjoy what is in our own back
yards.
