Ohio - Wabash Cannonball Trail
The Wabash Cannonball Trail is one of Ohio's longest rail-trails, covering a total of 63 miles and traversing four counties:
Fulton, Henry, Lucas, and Williams. So it should come as no surprise that the Trail is owned by several partners. With the
Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) acting as coordinating partner for the project, the
land-owning partners are Lucas County, the city of Maumee, Northwestern Ohio Rails-to-Trails Association, Inc. (NORTA,
Inc.), the Metropark District of the Toledo Area, the city of Wauseon, and the village of Whitehouse.

Otago Central Rail Trail
New Zealand - The official website for the Otago Central Rail Trail
The Otago Central Rail Trail Charitable Trust manages this website as a non-profit project to help enhance your Rail Trail experience in this very different and breathtaking part of New Zealand. The 150km Otago Central Rail Trail thrusts deep into the heart of Central Otago, the only region in New Zealand with a continental climate; a magical stage for amazing performances by all four seasons.
This year-round cycling and walking trail is a public reserve owned by the people of New Zealand.
There’s no cost for using it, although donations can be made to the Trust at most station sites.
Because the trail follows an old railway line, hills are not steep, making it accessible to most ages
and those with a modicum of fitness. There’s so much to enjoy, it’s wise to allow at least four days
to cycle its full length, a good few days more if you’re walking.

Trails From Rails
This website was designed to give cyclists a list of
many of the best bicycle touring trails in the US.
All of the trails on this site are paved or are crushed limestone/gravel,
so that they are navigable on touring or cross-bikes. Many of these
pathways also allow cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, horseback
riding and roller blading. Most of the routes go through numerous small
towns and give the rider a chance to see and experience rural America.

Uzès - Alès On old Railroad tracks
One of the famous sightseeing in the Department Gard is the PONT DU GARD, built by the Romans. In case someone pay's attention by driving or walking through this region in the direction of the "Cévennen", there are many more bridges and viaducts to see, but they are not as old as the PONT DU GARD. Most of these buildings belong to an old railway network.
