3D Railroad Master
3D Railroad Master(tm) puts the player in the engineer's seat as they roll along on the predesigned layouts of varying difficulty. EP-09 locomotive simulator
The full functional simulator with the six degrees of freedom motion system of
the EP09 electric locomotive for the Polish State Railways is meant for
training and exercise train driving skills in normal and malfunction situations
and also training drivers to behave in emergencies and dangerous events. (This is the Ultimate train simulator, if you have very deep pockets. It would be cheaper to buy a real locomotive...)
When I added this link in 2000, the graphics looked very advanced. Now you can have ones that look quite close to these with Train Simulator. Of course you won't have the full motion simulator this version offers.

Freight Yard Manager
The main goal of Freight Yard Manager (FYM) is to have fun! Basic operations include creating just about every type of currently operating railroad car, from the basic boxcar to articulated intermodal well cars. Cars are loaded and assigned a destination, then routed by players to the destination map. The cars are unloaded, and either returned to the place of origin for reloading, or loaded at the current yard and assigned a new
destination. There are no fixed rules as to what players should do with the cars they handle.
FYM uses a 2D overhead view of the Freight Yards (maps) - using actual satellite images as a background and "laying" Prototypical trackage over the image. FYM recognizes the lines as different types of track and switches, and guides the trains along them as if they were physical rails.
An extensive network links the maps such that players can run their trains map to map, all over North America.

Il simulatore A.C.E.I.
The training for the use of A.C.E.I. (Central Electric Routing Apparatus) is particularly important, also because of the potential impact on the safety and efficiency of the service.
In order to solve these problems has been developed an A.C.E.I. simulator dedicated to training station personnel.
The simulator is based on a control desk fitted with an sinoptic diagram, which is absolutely identical to that used by a medium-sized station, and on a control box containing a series of electronic interface circuits and a set of computers used for simulation.
