San Antonio Central Railway (SAC)
San Antonio, TX – Gulf Region
The San Antonio Central Railroad (SAC) began operations September 1, 2012. The SAC operates within Port San Antonio’s East Kelly Railport. Railport customers include warehousing, distribution, transloading, manufacturing and trucking operations. The SAC is adding infrastructure to meet the rapidly growing transportation needs of the energy sector. The Railport is the only site inside San Antonio with available rail-served facilities and land sites with switching service off the BNSF Railway and Union Pacific lines. The SAC works the rails at night, while commuters use the train during the day.

San Diego and Imperial Valley Railroad (SDIY)
The San Diego & Imperial Valley Railroad (SDIY) is a short-line railroad located in Southern California and provides a link between the Class I BNSF Railway and the CZRY in Mexico. The SDIY measures only 15 miles in length, however over 7,000 cars moved over its tracks in 2007.

San Luis & Rio Grande Railroad (SLRG)
The San Luis & Rio Grande Railroad (SLRG) runs west from a connection with the Union Pacific Railroad at Walsenburg, CO, over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains at La Veta Pass and into the fertile valley of the San Luis and Rio Grande Rivers. At Alamosa, the railroad splits with a branch extending south to Antonito -- just north of the New Mexico border -- and northwest to South Fork. In addition to the Union Pacific, the SLRG connects with the shortline San Luis Central Railroad (SLC) at Monte Vista and the Denver and Rio Grande Historical Foundation at Derrick, just west of South Fork. The SLRG is just under 150 miles long. The highest point on the SLRG at La Veta Pass, is 9,242 feet above sea level, the highest rail freight line in North America. The primary commodities hauled by the SLRG are grain, minerals, specialty rock products and produce. SLRG also handles substantial bridge traffic to and from the SLC. Permian Basin Railways acquired SLRG in December 2005.

The Sand Springs Railway has direct connections with Union Pacific, BNSF and South Kansas Oklahoma Railroad. The Sand Springs Railway Company is a class III railroad operating freight rail service between Sand Springs and Tulsa over a 32-mile route. Traffic handled includes steel, pulpboard, scrap iron, scrap paper, petroleum products, plastics and lumber. Key customers of Sand Springs Railway Company include Yaffe Metals, Baker Petrolite, Webco Industries and Ranger Steel.

The Santa Maria Valley Railroad is located on the Central Coast of California, 250 miles south of San Francisco and 175 miles north of Los Angeles. The Santa Maria Valley Railroad interchanges with the Union Pacific Railroad at Guadalupe, California, connecting with Union Pacific Railroad's Coast Line and the entire rail system of North America.

Savannah Port Terminal Railroad (SAPT)
The Savannah Port Terminal Railroad (SAPT) is an 18 mile short line freight railroad serving the Georgia Port Authority and interchanging with CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern. Commodities transported include chemicals, food products, intermodal containers, and pulp and paper. The SAPT was acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in 1998.

SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority
The SEDA-COG JRA is a Pennsylvania Municipal Authority which owns a 200 mile regional rail system in Central Pennsylvania. The JRA serves the counties of Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland and Union Counties through the Nittany & Bald Eagle Railroad, North Shore Railroad, Shamokin Valley Railroad, Lycoming Valley Railroad, White Deer & Reading Railroad and the Juniata Valley Railroad.

Seminole Gulf Railway
In November 1987, Seminole Gulf Railway (SGLR) acquired 118 miles of CSX trackage between North Naples and Arcadia, as well as, between Oneco (Bradenton) and Sarasota. SGLR now hauls much of the region’s building materials, newsprint, LP gas, plastics, stone, recycled materials, steel, and other commodities. The railroad owns and manages a fleet of railcars rolling throughout North America. SGLR also helps clients with industrial development services.

While Seminole Gulf Railway began operating freight trains in 1987, In January 1991, the Fay Family and Seminole Gulf Railway opened The Dinner Train, followed shortly by the commencement of daytime excursion trains. Soon thereafter, the Dinner Train began its first Murder Mystery Production, “Murder on the Seminole Express” which became an instant success. Other popular trips followed, such as the Christmas Rail/Boat Trip to Punta Gorda that has become an annual event for many guests. Over the past two decades, The Murder Mystery Dinner Train has hosted over 1/2 million patrons and has premiered over 80 new murder mystery productions. The train seats up to 200 passengers in four reconditioned vintage railcars from the 1930’s to the 1950’s, “Sanibel”, “Marco”, “Gasparilla” and “Captiva”. All food is prepared fresh daily on board the train in the “Marco” kitchen, and brought to your table by our dedicated staff.
